About Hebrews 13 Ministries
Hebrews 13 Ministries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to others by providing resources and promoting relationships between the Biblical local church and various underserved and underprivileged people groups. It serves the purposes of the local church by providing for the fulfillment of Scriptural mandates, especially those found in Hebrews 13 regarding hospitality to strangers (vs.2), ministry to the incarcerated and mistreated (vs.3), honoring marriage (vs. 4), teaching the Word of God (vs. 7), supporting spiritual leadership (vs. 7, 17), prayer (vs. 18), and sacrificial praise by doing good and sharing with those in need (vs. 15-16).

Our first outreach began with a group of followers of Jesus Christ who were personally impacted when a loved one was wrongfully accused, convicted, and sentenced to prison. God allowed these unfortunate circumstances to reveal a deep need for connection from members of the body of Christ on the outside with members of the body of Christ on the inside of the prison system. It also brought to light the neglect of the incarcerated population by many local churches and followers of Jesus Christ.
As a result of this awareness, this prison ministry was started through the generous support and participation of Freedom Family Church in Liberty, NC.
After establishing a growing and effective prison ministry, Hebrews 13 was formed as a 501(c)3 charitable organization for accomplishing the purposes mentioned above. Hebrews 13 operates as an independent ministry governed by a Board of Directors and funded by donations from local churches, businesses, and individuals who identify with its purposes.
