What We Do

We have a place for you at Hebrews 13 Ministries.

Prayer Partner

An important part of fulfilling the mandate of Scripture to “remember the prisoner” (Heb. 13:3) is to remember them in prayer. We receive prayer requests through services held inside the prisons as well as through our Connection Partners. If you would like to pray for specific requests of incarcerated individuals, commit to being a prayer partner. We believe this is the most effective way to encourage and influence the incarcerated population.

Connection Partner

The Connection Partner is at the front lines of our purpose. This aspect sets the work of Hebrews 13 Ministries apart from many other prison-focused organizations. By committing to communication and connection with incarcerated program participants, the Connection Partner provides much needed encouragement. Regular communication through electronic means allows the Partner (on the outside) and the Participant (on the inside) to build an appropriate, mutually encouraging relationship to fulfill the Biblical responsibility given to Believers.

This connection is supported with ideas and resources from ministry leadership and is funded by our Financial Partners. Ideas for how to connect with incarcerated individuals as well as guidelines for timing and appropriate communication will be provided by ministry leaders. This is our greatest need! There is no amount of money or resources that can substitute the genuine encouragement given by letting an incarcerated individual know that they are remembered and that there are people on the outside who know their God-given worth.

There will always be more incarcerated individuals who need encouragement than the number of Connection Partners available. Please consider becoming a Connection Partner even though it may be something unknown or unfamiliar. With a little training and guidance, you will soon find that not only will you be encouraging others, but you will also be encouraged as you discover the blessings of connection with the incarcerated population.

Financial Partner

Nothing happens without financial support. You may not be able to commit to communicating or receiving specific prayer requests, but by providing regular financial support, you can help remove barriers for those who can pray and connect.

The costs of operating ministry programs like this mount up quickly. Without God’s grace and the generous contributions of people and organizations that become Financial Partners, it would be impossible to achieve our mission Would you consider praying about and being obedient to the call in Scripture to minister to the captive and visit the prisoner?

Your contributions are, of course, tax-deductible. However, let spreading the love of Jesus be your motivation for regular giving to Hebrews 13 Ministries.
